Designed to meet the needs of commercial fisherman and leisure boaters, Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB) provide an alert signal via satellite, on the 406MHz frequency, to search and rescue services providing them with vessel name, owner name and contact information. The Rescue 406 and Precision 406 with built-in GPS are both available in either a Category I bracket (Automatic) or Category II (Manual) and are both U.S.C.G. and FCC approved.
