MSD's 6M-2 CD Marine ignitions are designed for use in performance marine applications where high energy and reliable ignitions are necessities. Below 3,000 rpm, a series of multiple sparks burns in the cylinder for 20 degrees of crankshaft rotation, ensuring complete combustion, and more power reduces plug fouling. The capacitive discharge design allows for full power sparks throughout the entire rpm range, while weathertight connectors with multi-ribbed seals are used to make secure electrical connections, without the possibility of shorts. To protect their electrical circuitry from the elements, the entire unit is potted with a waterproof Dupont Restech compound.
